EMODnet Biology has made another advancement, with its latest data publication spanning the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea over the historical timeframe from 1924 to 2024. The data originating from a total of 27 datasets, comprising 17 newly published and 10 updated datasets, adding further broad temporal and spatial coverage to EMODnet’s marine biological offer.
The published data encompasses a wide range of marine biodiversity, representing nearly all the taxonomic groups reported by EMODnet Biology, Angiosperms, Macroalgae, Benthos, Fish, Marine Mammals, Phytoplankton, and Zooplankton.
Two datasets resulting from the EMODnet Biology data training workshop for Mediterranean organisations were also published. All data are fully accessible through the EMODnet Portal, where users can visualise, query, and download the data using the interactive functionalities.
