News article |

EMODnet is pleased to announce Xeos by Satlink as a new Associated Partner in the EMOD-network! Satlink brings decades of experience working in the ocean technology and observation fields, with a strong dedication to sustainability, data-driven decision-making, and marine technology innovation, making them a valuable addition to the EMOD-network as producers and users of marine knowledge

About Xeos by Satlink
Satlink is a Spanish technology company with over 30 years of expertise in designing and manufacturing robust marine hardware, complemented by advanced software and data capabilities. In early 2024, Satlink expanded its marine technology portfolio by acquiring Xeos Technologies, a Canadian firm known for its high-performance tracking and monitoring solutions in extreme marine environments.

Together, Xeos by Satlink offers a powerful suite of tools for collecting, analysing, and visualizing marine data in real time. Their global network of smart buoys tracks marine assets and generates near real-time ocean current data, providing a data volume and spatial coverage beyond traditional programs like the Global Drifter Program (GDP), offering untapped potential for enhanced ocean intelligence. By operating at the intersection of industry, government, science, and NGOs, Xeos by Satlink is uniquely positioned to foster collaboration and drive technological progress in marine monitoring.
