Statement

The map was produced in 2010 as part of the Natura 2000 project. It is the result of compilation of data from different sources. The approach adopted for the mapping is based on the processing and interpretation of imagery coupled with field truth campaigns. It is a qualitative approach based on the recognition of habitats using photointerpretation crossed with field observations. Different imaging techniques were used : orthophotography, SPOT imagery, LIDAR system. In august 2022, Ifremer has converted the original dataset into EMODnet standard and uploaded it on EMODnet portal.
