    Collection with manta net tows. Visual observation of samples under a stereomicroscope and spectroscopic verification of polymer materials using ATR-FTIR. |Microplastics were collected using seasurface manta-net tows. Net mesh size 330 µm. The MSFD protocol/recommendations were followed. Microplastic particles were sorted under a stereomicroscope counted and categorized in size classes and types (fragments, filaments, films).
