Statement

The map was produced in February 2005 by TBM. The methodology used is based, for the intertidal zone, on photo-interpretation of the 2000 Ortholittoral database (unsupervised automatic classification) and on field surveys on foot (observations, photographs, sediment samples). The subtidal zone methodology is based on the photo-interpretation of the ortholittoral 2000 (unsupervides automatic classification) and on the digitisation of the SHOM G chart. The habitat typology used is that of the Natura 2000 habitat notebooks (Bensettiti, F., Bioret, F., Glemarec, M., Bellan-Santini, D., Géhu, J.M. 2002. Cahiers d'habitats Natura 2000, Tome 3, Habitats côtiers). In September 2022, Ifremer converted the dataset into EMODnet standard and uploaded it on EMODnet portal.
