Content-wise, this data harvest has been very heterogeneous in content, with 17 new datasets and 10 updated datasets. The temporal coverage spans for 20 years of occurrences data, ranging from 2003 to 2023 spread across the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean, Baltic, Black and North Seas. In terms of taxonomy and functional groups we published occurrence records of Algae, Benthos, Birds, Mammals, Pisces, Reptiles and Zooplankton. These occurrence records have been collected using several techniques such as passive acoustics, aerial surveys, citizen science programmes and traditional data collections. Presence/absence data was accompanied by the collection of abundance, biomass, biometrics, behavior, habitat, environmental and methodological sampling data.
