The East Sea Real-time Ocean Buoy (ESROB) is a surface mooring that has been in operation off the mid-east coast of Korea since 1999. The ESROB is 9 km off the coast (37° 32.24’N; 129° 12.92’E) in a water depth of 130 m, and provides meteorological and oceanographic (physical and biogeochemical) data every 10 min from Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) and acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) instruments. The data provided here were collected between 2016 and 2020 and follow the data collected by previous publications. The data were quality controlled and assured using typical data processing methods, and have been used to address temporal variations in currents and water properties, as well as wind-and tide-induced internal waves. The uploaded data files contain variables in a NetCDF format that were obtained during each deployment. Important Note: This submission has been initially submitted to SEA scieNtific Open data Edition (SEANOE) publication service and received the recorded DOI. The metadata elements have been further processed (refined) in EMODnet Ingestion Service in order to conform with the Data Submission Service specifications.

The air-sea flux and surfacw wave were observd in a fixed platform( 21º26.5' N, 111º23.5' E), during the measurements from 6 February to 8 May 2012, the turbulence observed by the high-frequency ultrasonic anemometer (Gill R3-50) mounted at a height of 8 m, and waves were observed by the An acoustic wave and current (AWAC) sensor (Nortek, Rud, Norway). The data provided are: Time: YYYYMMDDHHNN; U8: Wind speed observed from ultrasonic anemometer fixed at 8 m height above the sea surface; Wind direction(from): Wind direction observed from ultrasonic anemometer; Wave direction(from): wave direction from acoustic wave and current (AWAC) sensor; Atmospheric Stability (z/L): Atmospheric Stability z/L, where z is height, and L is Obukhov length; wave age (cp/U8): Peak wave age ; τx/ρ: total wind stress in longitudinal direction ; τy/ρ: total wind stress in lateral direction; τtx/ρ: turblent wind stress in longitudinal direction ; τty/ρ: turblent wind stress in lateral direction; Cd(COARE): the drag coefficient computed by COARE 3.0 ; case: It represent the cases shown in figures 6~7 in the main text.Important Note: This submission has been initially submitted to SEA scieNtific Open data Edition (SEANOE) publication service and received the recorded DOI. The Irish Weather Buoy Network is a network of 5 weather buoys around Ireland. These weather buoys are moored surface buoys with instruments which collect weather and ocean data including air temperature, atmospheric humidity, sea surface temperature, sea temperature and salinity on moored chain, wave statistics and wind speed/direction. This data set relates to the data collected at station Belmullet-AMETS between April 2011 and August 2011. The Weather Buoy network has been established to improve predictive weather forecasting. The weather buoy project has consisted of a team drawn together under an MOU between the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport (DTTAS), the Marine Institute (MI), Met Eireann and the UK Met Office. There have been incomplete data observations for periods when the weather buoys were offline for maintenance and or damage from adverse weather conditions such as storms.

GEMS Survey Ltd. (GEMS) was awarded a contract by Channel Energy Limited to undertake metocean data collection in the Bristol Channel as part of the Atlantic Array wind farm development project. The scope of work includes the deployment of two acoustic wave and current (AWAC) units and one Directional Waverider Buoy. Ancillary work includes water and sediment sampling and water profiling. Following non-recovery of AWAC devices, TRIAXYS Directional Wave buoys were utilised for the rest of the survey. This series contains both reports and datasets associated with the Metocean Assessment.
