This dataset contains data on cetacean strandings collected from 1999 to 2014 on the coastal areas of the Black sea and the Sea of Azov. Observations were conducted by Pavel Gol’din and Karina Vishnyakova, with the help provided by D. Markov, E. Gladilina, E. Gol’din, V. Sokhin, E. Kushnir, V. Serbin, Yu. Lyashenko, L. Godlevska, A. Nadolny, M. Kovalyova, O. Savenko, N. Kukharev and other colleagues and volunteers who took part in the field excursions and provided information on strandings.

Spider species-level data collected from pan traps across four habitat types in Cambrige Bay Nunavut. Two wet habitat types and two dry habitat types were examined. Samples continuously taken from July 3rd to August 11th 2014, but broken down into sampling periods which are, on average, 6 days long.

The Circumpolar Biodiversity Monitoring Program, a cornerstone programme of the Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF), Arctic Council working Group is an international network of scientists, government agencies, Indigenous organizations and conservation groups working together to harmonize and integrate efforts to monitor the Arctic’s living resources.CBMP experts are developing four coordinated and integrated Arctic Biodiversity Monitoring Plans to help guide circumpolar monitoring efforts. Results will be channeled into effective conservation, mitigation and adaptation policies supporting the Arctic. These plans represent the Arctic’s major ecosystems(Marine, Freshwater, Coastal, Terrestrial).

The collection of marine, terrestrial and freshwater molluscs is primarily a scientific but also a historical and museological collection. It includes about 800 000 lots, totaling approximately 5 million specimens from around the world. These specimens are preserved as either dry specimens (dried animals, shells) or in alcohol. The type collection contains 11 000 types of nominal species. The collection dates back to Michel Adanson (shells of Senegal, 1757) and Jean-Baptiste Lamarck.
