  • This dataset gather isotopic ratios measured on 359 fish, sharks and crustaceans collected between 200 and 800 m depth, in the Mediterranean canyons during MEDITS 2012 and 2013 surveys Important Note: This submission has been initially submitted to SEA scieNtific Open data Edition (SEANOE) publication service and received the recorded DOI.   • In April 2017, two Ice Atmosphere Arctic Ocean Observing System platforms (IAOOS 23 and IAOOS 24) were deployed near the North Pole. Over the next 8 months, they meandered southwards with the ice in the Transpolar Drift, collecting measurements in the upper 250 m of Amundsen Basin, Nansen Basin and Fram Strait. The ocean profilers are PROVOR SPI (from French manufacturer NKE), which includes a Seabird SBE41 CTD (Conductivity, Temperature, Depth) and a dissolved oxygen (DO) Aandera 4330 optode. IAOOS 23 also featured a bio-optics sensor suite and a submersible ultraviolet nitrate analyzer (SUNA, Satlantic-Seabird Inc.). The bio-optics sensor suite (called Pack Rem A) combines a three-optical-sensor instrument (ECO Triplet, WET Labs Inc.) and a multispectral radiometer (OCR-504, Satlantic Inc.). The present dataset is composed of chlorophyll-a fluorescence, backscatter, irradiances (at 412, 490 and 555 nm), photosynthetically active radiation (PAR), nitrate and colored-dissolved organic matter data from the IAOOS 23 platform, as well as composites of absolute salinity, conservative temperature and apparent oxygen utilization data from both profilers. The profilers were set to perform two upward profiles a day from 250 m starting at approximately 6 am and 6 pm. In this dataset, chlorophyll-a, PAR and irradiances were corrected with a shift to set dark values to zero. Nitrate was interpolated vertically every 5 m, and all other parameters were interpolated vertically every 0.5 m.   • RESOLAG is a sensor network located in French Polynesia, in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean. The program started in 2018 to acquire data on seawater parameter inside lagoon impacted by pearl oyster farming activity. It is a long-term monitoring of seawater temperature, disolve oxygen, turbidity, fluorescence and salinity. One of the network’s major goal is to better understand the link between black-pearl oysters and their environment, in order to improve management of the farming activity. RESOLAG was created by the Department for Marine Ressources Management of French Polynesia. It is a public organisation run by the gouvernment of French Polynesia. Therefore all data from the network are publicly available to download (under CC-BY licence).   • Aimed at understanding the mesoscale eddy’s effect on the subduction and dissipation of the North Pacific Subtropical Mode Water, a field experiment namely the Pacific Mode Water Ventilation Experiment (P-MoVE) was carried out in the northwestern Pacific Ocean ((Xu et al., 2016)-[https://doi.org/10.1038/ncomms10505]). During 27 March to 5 April 2014, we conducted 54 station surveys in an anticyclonic eddy (AE) and a nearby weak cyclonic eddy (CE) with a spacing of 0.25° (Figure 1). The conductivity-temperature-depth system (CTD 911plus, Sea-Bird Electronics) and microstructure probe (MSS-90, Sea & Sun Technology) were deployed to obtain temperature-salinity profiles and microscale velocity shear at these stations.   • This data describes the distribution of sea cliffs identified in the EU Directive on the Conservation of Habitats, Flora and Fauna, also known as the Habitats Directive. The data is presented in the Habitats Directive Article 17 2019 report called The Status of EU Protected Habitats and Species in Ireland, available here https://www.npws.ie/publications/article-17-reports.

  • Multibeam imagery was collected with a Elac Seabeam 1185 echo sounder in March 2010. This multibeamecho sounder has beams as narrow as 1,5 x 1,5 degrees and a swathwidth in excess of 150 degrees. The data were corrected for heading, depth, pitch, heave, and roll with a redundant Meridian TSS/MAHRS system and with the Port Motril tidal gauge records.

  • Photographs of marine biodiversity of areas of high ecological value unknown in the Andalusian Litoral, starting with Malaga, where the diving school is located. These studies are delivered to competent authorities for their knowledge and generation of protection figures. They have been presented to the Mission Blue Foundation, accepting the place as Hope Spot of the Alboran Sea.
