The data originates from 28 datasets, including 16 new and 12 updated, covering the period from 1981 to 2023. It encompasses geographical areas such as the Atlantic Ocean, and the Black, Baltic, Mediterranean, and North Seas. The datasets include most taxonomic groups reported by EMODnet Biology: Algae, Benthos, Birds, Fish, Mammals, Phytoplankton, Reptiles, and Zooplankton. All data can be queried and downloaded via the EMODnet Central Portal viewer.
