Description

EMODnet Open Sea Lab 3.0 Hackathon - Registration is now open!

The Open Sea Lab 3.0 Hackathon is a unique event that brings together data scientists, software developers, social innovators, and changemakers in Europe and around the world to harness the wealth of open, marine data offered by EMODnet to develop solutions to Ocean challenges. This third edition of EMODnet’s hackathon -Open Sea Lab 3.0 (OSL 3.0)- will be an opportunity to challenge users to test EMODnet’s new central portal, inviting the community to explore and exploit the advantages brought by the centralisation of EMODnet’s services and the new, expanded capabilities it features.

OSL 3.0 will partner with key EU data services, organisations and initiatives of Europe’s thriving Ocean data landscape. OSL 3.0 is geared towards fostering community networking and promoting the development and uptake of innovative, science-based solutions using marine data, in support of the EU Green Deal and the UN Agenda 2030.

The format and challenges of the Open Sea Lab 3.0 will be presented during a 3 week online “warm up” period starting on March 7, 2023 consisting in a series of online trainings by expert mentors and coaches

All sessions will be streamed live and made available online on the website afterwards. This is your chance to learn more about the hackathon and meet the organizers, some of the coaches and data providers.
