The Ocean Data Management 2025 self-paced training course is now repeated and open until 31 October 2025.
Developed by and for marine data managers, data stewards and researchers, this fully online course provides a comprehensive introduction to marine data management. Participants will explore key topics such as metadata, quality control, data policy, data sharing and publishing, data management plans, and the research data life cycle.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Describe and implement the core tasks required for processing marine data.
- Explain the importance of metadata and advise researchers on the research data life cycle.
- Develop effective data management plans from the earliest stages of a project.
