Map of the week - Ferry routes

News article |

There are 6.000 Greek islands scattered in the Aegean and Ionian Seas which people get to and from mostly by boat.

If you travel to the Aegean Sea you can stop in more than 100 ports all connected by different ferry routes, and this only in an area covering part of Greece! All around Europe you can find more than double this number of ports and ferry routes!

Transportation by ferry offers many benefits, for example you can cross the English Channel using 15 different ferry routes connecting various locations on both the French and English coasts. When you travel by ferry you can also bring your car to your holiday destination, very convenient if you are an adventurous soul travelling to a remote area of Iceland!

So, what are you waiting for? Hurry up and plan your holidays using the European Atlas of the Seas!
