Description

  • 04 Jun 2020

The project PHIDIAS  (Prototype of HPC/Data Infrastructure for On-demand Services) will organise a webinar titled "Boosting the use of cloud services for marine data management, services and processing". The webinar boasts the collaboration with Blue-Cloud project.

PHIDIAS: Boosting the use of cloud services for marine data management, services and processing

The project PHIDIAS  (Prototype of HPC/Data Infrastructure for On-demand Services) aims to build a prototype for Data/High Performance Computing (HPC) services based on Earth Sciences cases. PHIDIAS will enable the Earth Science community to discover, manage and process spatial and environmental data spanning the Earth's Surface, Atmosphere and Oceans, optimising workflows to facilitate data reuse, provide open access to standardised HPC services, and render the data FAIR.

The 2nd webinar of the project titled "Boosting the use of cloud services for marine data management, services and processing" will be organised on the 4th of June at 11AM CEST.

The webinar boasts the collaboration with Blue-Cloud project, and it will be focused on our Ocean data test case, which aims to improve the use of

  • Cloud services for marine data management,
  • Data services to the user in a FAIR perspective, and
  • Data processing on demand.

These objectives will be pursued in coherence with the development of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and the Copernicus Data and Information Access Services (DIAS).

An exciting agenda was prepared for all the attendees, see the full agenda at https://www.phidias-hpc.eu/events/webinars.
