"S-100: a new standard for navigation safety and ocean protection" workshop.
The S-100 standard for "e-navigation", aiming at describing the environment, adopted by the International Maritime Organization. It is considered as a digital revolution of the maritime sector: a response to modern e-navigation and to sustainable development challenges of maritime activities as well.
Organized ahead of the political segment of the One Ocean Summit of 11 February, the workshops aim at mobilizing the maritime community to tackle ocean protection challenges with technological, scientific and environmental transformations.
Each workshop is a "Call for action", and a contribution to the Action Plan that will be set out by the One Ocean Summit . In this context, under the patronage of the International hydrographic Organisation by the Shom, the CCIMBO (Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Brest West Brittany) and partners of one pathfinder European project "Blue Ports" organise this workshop.
As new standard, its adoption at international level requires cooperation between all actors.
The workshop invites you to discover the S-100 world and to set out new ways forward its implementation.
