The approach demonstrated whether data (mainly in-situ, including satellite and model when necessary) was fit-for-purpose in 11 challenge areas. Data sourced mainly from EMODnet thematic portals as well as from the Copernicus Marine Environmental Monitoring Service (CMEMS) were assessed on the basis of availability, accessibility, uncertainty and adequacy of the data to address 11 important challenges relevant to  sustainable Blue Growth in the Baltic Sea.
